It was late 2015 when Virgon Constructions completed their latest multi-residential project, Montana in Mountain Grove, Kew. The development was a testament to the detail and finish that was applied throughout the design and construction phase, with Virgon and their clients being incredibly proud of all 4 townhouses.
2016 came and with that the sales campaign of the boutique project, the sales were ultimately successful and now all of the residences have been sold. What has been an even more significant achievement is that Virgon Constructions has WON every single award that Montana was entered in, an achievement that is extraordinary for a boutique residential builder in Melbourne. 2016 Boroondara Urban Design Awards – Best Small Scale Multi Residential Project:
- Virgon won the award in June 2016, and had only won the award once before in 2011 for another townhouse project in Hawthorn
- City of Boroondara praised Virgon for the ability positively complement the affluent surrounding area of the Sackville Ward
2016 Master Builders Award – Best Multi Residential Development (4-12 Units):
- Virgon was announced as the winner at the Master Builders Awards in October, having beaten strong competition in this category
- Virgon had won this award once previously in 1999, for ‘Most Innovative Construction’
2016 HIA Awards – Townhouse/Villa Development of the Year & Best Townhouse over $700,001 per dwelling:
- Virgon was announced the winner in November, and it is the first time we have ever won at the HIA Awards!
- Virgon has come runner-up in the HIA awards 4 times since 2002, and it was very fulfilling to finally win this elusive award!
