Only a few months ago we were excited to give you our news that Virgon had won the 2017 HIA Australian Townhouse/Villa Development award. This award acknowledged our high standards for innovation, creativity and excellence in both construction and design.

We are excited to tell you that Virgon has won once again! Our project, Thackray Street in Balwyn saw Virgon listed as finalists for the HIA CSR Victorian Housing and Kitchen & Bathroom Awards. We received the incredible honour of winning the Best Bathroom over $30,000 division.
As well as this win, we were thrilled to also receive Runner Up awards for the following categories,
- Best Kitchen over $50,000
- Best Outdoor Projects
- Custom Built Home $1-1.5m
Thackery Street in Balwyn was a custom built home specifically designed for a client who fell in love with our iconic Virgon design style, with some additional custom elements.
We met with our client who had seen our Belle Mar “Elegance” pre-designed home. He wanted us to customize the design to suit their needs. We worked together on the template floor plans we had for the building and adapted them to specifically suit the clients site. We modified the design to include all of the features they wanted in a home including a home theater, high tech electronics and home automation.
As a turn-key concept, Thackery Street was created by our in-house architect based on a pre-designed template. Once the draft plans were approved, Virgon moved on to create the construction drawings and final presentation for the client.
The team at Virgon has enjoyed an incredible year in the custom home design industry. HIA has acknowledged our position as design and construction leaders in the luxury home industry. We cannot wait to see what 2018 brings and the stunning home projects we will build with you!
